Since our update two weeks ago, we’re happy to report that momentum has continued to build at Inboard! The entire team has been working hard to ensure every detail is finalized as we approach our delivery date. We’re on target to deliver the M1™ as announced in our last update and we’re constantly getting great feedback on the M1 Beta Boards as more of you get to try them out.
The shipping schedule we recently shared still stands (see below). The PowerShift™ Battery testing and certification is going smoothly, and we don’t anticipate more delays at this point.
Beta testing is still ongoing, and testers have been super helpful in fine tuning set-up procedures, documentation and instructional materials. Updates made through beta testing will ensure that you’ll be riding in no time – even if the M1 will be your first electric skateboard.
Test Ride Santa Cruz
About a week ago we hosted the first stop of our M1 West Coast Test Ride Tour in Santa Cruz, CA and it was extremely successful. Over 80 people attended and took their laps on the M1 Beta, all the way from beginners who had never stepped foot on a board to experienced powered skateboard riders. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one preorder rider even saying, “After today, I almost want to buy a second one now… It’s that legit!” Check out the comments first hand in the recap video below.
Test Ride San Francisco Details
Upcoming M1 Test Ride stops will also be held in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Our original Test Ride San Francisco date will need to be pushed back due to a scheduling conflict with the location we had originally planned to use. As soon as we secure a new location and date, we’ll let everyone know with an RSVP page similar to the one used for our last Test Ride event.
This month we have two new additions to the Inboard Team. After contracting with Inboard for the last two months, Senior Electrical Engineer McKenzie Keith will be joining us full-time. Additionally, Cole Margerum has joined us as a summer intern. Cole has already proved to be a significant asset by diving head first into data analysis of beta boards and by writing custom software to automatically generate test reports for the M1.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, thoughts, or concerns, feel free to leave a comment here or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can't wait to ride with you soon!
